After the drive has been operating for 100 hours, a thorough inspection every 500 hours is recommended. During this inspection, look for key elements such as 3% elongation and chain wear. If the chain is not preloaded, elongation will happen very quickly. In either case, the industry-recommended 3% elongation will be achieved faster.
